About Me
Experienced Autism Mentor & Parent Support (UK)
Hi, I'm Steph,
I’m a former primary teacher with over a decade of experience teaching in inclusive classrooms. I’ve worked closely with families and schools to help children thrive - building on their strengths and adapting environments to meet their needs.
Being autistic myself, means I bring lived experience alongside professional insight. I understand the sensory, emotional, and communication differences that shape autistic lives - and I use that understanding to create mentoring that feels respectful and personal.
I see autism as a difference, not as a deficit — a unique way of experiencing the world. As a parent, I understand the worry of watching your child struggle and wanting guidance that is both practical and emotionally safe.
Through My Autism Mentor, I provide mentoring and personalised parent strategy reports that give your child tools that are achievable and tailored and grounded in real life.
What is an Autism Mentor?
As a mentor and coach, I walk alongside your child—building confidence, offering strategies, and helping them feel understood. This isn’t therapy or assessment, it’s supportive guidance for real-life challenges.
Mentoring - Shares guidance, reassurance, and practical tools—based on real-world experience.
Coaching - Focuses on the present and future—helping structure actions to reach your goals.
Therapy - Looks back into past experiences to help heal challenges or trauma.
My approach is a blend of mentoring and coaching: offering both structured support toward goals, and practical strategies for everyday life.
